Responding to Terror

The Catholic University community drew together after the events of Sept. 11, to mourn the passing of a professor, relatives and friends. Faculty members organized panels and lectures on terrorist attacks and on Islam. Others offered emotional support. See story.

Service Is Theme for Upcoming Year

We all want to give the best service we can to students and co-workers, and sometimes that requires training. With the goal of making the administration more personal, kind and responsive, Catholic University plans to begin implementing training in the art of customer service as early as the end of October. Come Sing in New Chorus

Do you have fond memories of having sung in a church, school or community choir? Would you like to sing in one again?  If so, come to one of the weekly rehearsals of the newly forming CUA Town and Gown Singers, which is recruiting singers from among faculty, staff and nearby residents. Mullen Library to Get $6 Million Renovation

An upcoming $6 million renovation of the John K. Mullen of Denver Memorial Library is designed to keep the building and its services up to date for the next 20 years.  See Research.

Associate Professor William Dinges takes time off from studying religion to raft the mighty Colorado River. It's a good thing he was wearing a life jacket. See People.

The Shows Go on This Fall

The fall season at the Hartke Theatre and the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music are in full swing with a production of Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata and concerts by renowned pianist Boris Berman, CUA’s Wind Ensemble, and CUA’s Singers’ Cabaret, as well as a production of the British play, Fen.
