Upcoming Benefits Events

 

  • The Know Your Numbers Event will occur on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Caldwell Hall Auditorium. The onsite screening service includes measurements of body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, glucose (blood sugar) level, and cholesterol level. Please register online at register.wellness-inc.com/catholicuniversity or call 855-215-0230 to participate in this event.
     
  • Open enrollment for 2016 benefit elections will be available from Monday, Oct. 26, to Sunday, Nov. 8. Benefit elections made during open enrollment will be effective Jan. 1, 2016. If you have a qualifying event that requires you to make changes to your benefit elections during the plan year, you may do so by notifying the Office of Human Resources within 30 days of the event. Upcoming open enrollment events follow:

    • The Annual Benefits Fair will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 27, in Great Room A of the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All staff and faculty members are invited to attend the fair. Stop by for free seated massages and vendor displays. Also, annual flu shots will be offered at the fair. More details regarding the flu shot will be provided via email.
       
    • Pre-enrollment benefits information sessions will be held at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the following dates:

    • The open enrollment computer lab will be open Nov. 2 to 6 in Leahy Hall, Room 100, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Human resources staff members will be available onsite to assist with the enrollment process.

Benefits Website Available in Spanish
The benefits enrollment website is now available in both English and Spanish. Please click the español link located at the bottom right corner of the login screen. 

Tuition Exchange
The tuition exchange application for the 2016–2017 academic year is now available on the human resources website at humanresources.cua.edu/benefits/exchange.cfm. The application is due no later than Tuesday, Oct. 13, to the human resources office located in Leahy Hall, Room 170. Please note the guidelines limit the program to children of regular full-time employees of CUA who have worked full time for at least two continuous years prior to the commencement of the academic year for which the eligible student dependent would initiate his or her studies.

TIAA-CREF Counseling Sessions

A representative from TIAA-CREF will be on campus to provide one-on-one retirement information sessions for employees in Room 331 of the Pryzbyla Center from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While the sessions are free, an appointment is required. Please call the Meeting Request Center number at 800-732-8353 to schedule an appointment for the dates below:

Direct Deposit Closing/Changes
If you are closing or changing a bank account that is used for direct deposit, please inform the payroll office a minimum of one week in advance. Please complete the direct deposit form on the payroll website at treasurer.cua.edu/forms.cfm and submit to the payroll office located in Leahy Hall, Room 130.
