The Great American Smokeout

November is the month that the American Cancer Society sponsors the Great American Smokeout. Since 1977, the American Cancer Society has sponsored this nationwide event to educate and encourage people to quit smoking. CUA employees who are interested in smoking cessation have two great options to consider through the University:

  • The Carebridge Employee Assistance Program offers resources to support smoking cessation at www.myliferesource.com (Access code: HSBH4).
  • United Healthcare offers smoking cessation programs and guidance at www.myuhc.com for employees enrolled in any of the UHC health plans.

There are also many resources available at the American Cancer Society web page at www.cancer.org.
