Catholic Charities Event Recalls Origins at CUA

The national organization celebrated its 90th birthday at the place where it was founded: CUA. A celebration in McMahon Hall Sept. 25 looked back to the visionaries who founded Catholic Charities U.S. A. and reflected on the work still ahead. Sr. Ann Patrick Conrad, dean of the National Catholic School of Social Service and Catholic , was among the speakers.See story.


Partnership Offers Certificate in Disabilities Studies

CUA’s Metropolitan College has joined with the Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy Institute and the Knights of Columbus, Washington, D.C., chapter, to offer continuing education for those who work with the developmentally disabled. The initiative resulted from a joint CUA/Kennedy Institute commitment to improve services for individuals with mental disabilities. See story.
