University to Break Ground for New Residence Hall
On March 12, The Catholic University of America will hold a ceremonial groundbreaking for Opus Hall. The new residence hall will be located near Flather Hall on the university's main campus.  See story.




Arts Festival: Skewering Politics with Comedy

The President's Festival of the Arts, to be held March 11 to 18,

will feature performances of Leonard Bernstein's Candide, as well as feature films, lectures and discussions that will explore the comic opera and the novella by Voltaire on which it is based.

Erasing the ‘Disabilities Difference’
Global Disability Policies, a class taught by Leszek Sibilski, adjunct professor of sociology, is designed to instill awareness of the rights of people with disabilities. Attracting a diverse enrollment of students from various majors, the class examines social action, social awareness, education and employment of people with disabilities. See story.

CUA Memorabilia Needed for Student Restaurant Makeover
The student restaurant in the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center will have a new look after summer 2007. Students, faculty, staff and alumni have a role to play in making it happen. See story.
