Getting Smart About Safety Linda Vann can tell a lot about a person by the way she walks. So too, can a potential attacker, says Vann, which is why the CUA Public Safety captain makes it a centerpiece of her self-defense courses. She will be offering these courses to students, faculty and staff this year. See story.

Nursing Students Find Jobs, Scholarships at Children's Hospital CUA students who are interested in a pediatric nursing career are finding scholarship and career opportunities just a few blocks down Michigan Avenue, at Children’s National Medical Center. CUA nursing students have won the scholarships more often than anyone else. See story.
We Remember On Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, The Catholic University of America will mark the fifth anniversary of the 2001 terror attacks on the United States. A Mass of commemoration for the victims of those attacks will be held at 12:10 p.m. in the Crypt Church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. All are invited to attend.
