Nursing Students Learn Health Care-Specific Español
As the nation’s Hispanic population increases, so does the demand for health care workers who can speak Spanish. The School of Nursing has responded to that need by teaming up with the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures to offer an interdisciplinary elective — Spanish for Health Professionals. The course has been so popular that it has spawned a second offering. See story.
Michael McLane: On a Mission to Market Mullen to Students
Appointed last August as CUA’s director of libraries, Michael McLane is hoping to share his enthusiasm for Mullen Library's extensive resources. "I've always loved libraries because they provide access to good books and information,” says McLane, who even dresses the part, down to a tie decorated with images of books. “Now at Catholic University I have a wonderful opportunity to extend that access to young scholars." for Sodexho ‘K.O. in the Kitchen’ Contest
Pans sizzled, mouths watered and stomachs grumbled as Sodexho chefs from four area schools took up their spatulas for the third round of the second annual ‘K.O. in the Kitchen’ contest, held March 8 at CUA.
